Manchester City Striker Gabriel Jesus Agent Confirms Exit Talks

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the agent of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has confirmed that the forward is in talks with a rival Premier Lague side. Jesus’ agent Marcelo Pettinati told Romano: “We had talks with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus, we like the project – it’s a possibility we’re discussing…There are six more clubs interested in Gabriel – he’s focused on final games with Man City, we’ll see”

With Manchester City signing Erling Haaland, the writing is on the wall for Gabriel Jesus at the club. Jesus would still get game time but a player like him will want to be a first-choice player. With a major signing like Haaland on the way Jesus and his agent likely foresee a reduction in playing time and thus a reduction in the overall value of the player, something that every major player tries to avoid nowadays. Jesus is only 25 and is a proven goalscorer so there is no need for him to play second fiddle at Manchester City.
