Oktoberfest Coming to Wrigley Field Campus This September

August 6, 2025 by Cubs Insider

Prost! The Chicago Cubs invite fans, neighbors and visitors to experience the first-ever “Oktoberfest with the Cubs” this fall. This new three-day event will take over the Toyota Camry Lot at 1126 W. Grace St. from Friday, September 19, through Sunday, September 21, and is open to guests of all ages looking to experience an authentic Oktoberfest in Wrigleyville.

“We’re thrilled to bring this new event concept to the Wrigley Field campus later this year in celebration of Oktoberfest,” said Cubs Senior Director of Event Operations Morgan Bucciferro. “This event is not just for Cubs fans. It’s for the community, neighbors and those looking to have a good time on a weekend in September. Gather your friends and join us outside the ballpark for the first-ever Oktoberfest with the Cubs – this is not an event you want to miss!”

Oktoberfest with the Cubs will include traditional Bavarian festival elements, including a ceremonial keg tap (O’zapft is!), carnival rides, beer tents, authentic food, live music and more. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best Lederhosen and Dirndls throughout the weekend and perfect their Krug-holding and keg-rolling skills before entering in various competitions and challenges.

Kids are welcome too! Woven into the Oktoberfest with the Cubs programming schedule are kid-friendly activities as well. Earlier in the day on Saturday and Sunday only, “Kinderfest” will open to children of all ages and will feature balloon artists, face painters, rides, crafts, various competitions and more!

“We’re always looking for new ways to program the Wrigley Field campus,” said Wrigley Field Events Vice President Andy Blackburn. “We’re excited to debut our new event concept, Oktoberfest with the Cubs, and provide an event the whole family can enjoy. From authentic Oktoberfest elements to kid-friendly activities and rides, this event will have something for everyone. Make sure to snag your ticket when they go on sale this week.”

Tickets are required to attend and go on sale to the general public Friday, August 8, at 10 a.m. CT, with pricing for adults starting at $15 for one-day access. Discounted pricing is available if tickets to multiple days are purchased. A separate ticket is required for each day and will be delivered via the MLB Ballpark app. Limit 14 tickets per person. Children 10 and under can attend for free. Cubs Season Ticket Holders will have access to an exclusive presale opportunity starting Thursday, August 7.

A premium, VIP experience is also available for attendees looking for a more elevated, intimate experience within the event. For $75, attendees will have a reserved area with seating and dedicated restrooms and will receive one complimentary beer and branded Stein along with ride tickets. Ticket options in VIP are available for those under the age of 21 with children three and under gaining access to VIP for free.

To continue the festivities, the Cubs also will celebrate Oktoberfest at the ballpark ahead of the September 23 game against the New York Mets, transforming Gallagher Way into an Oktoberfest celebration for fans to enjoy pregame. Fans interested in attending are encouraged to purchase a ticket to the September 23 game through the Oktoberfest Special Ticket Offer at www.cubs.com/specials which includes a commemorative Stein.

Hours of operation and the programming schedule will vary by day. No access inside Wrigley Field will be permitted for this event. A full programming schedule will be shared at a later date.
