Peralta is entering the final year of his contract, which has placed his name in trade discussions throughout the offseason. Across eight seasons with the Milwaukee Brewers, he has made 162 starts while posting a 3.59 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP.

He was voted to the All-Star Game in 2025 for the second time in his career and also finished fifth in Cy Young Award voting. Peralta’s 17 wins led all of baseball, as he helped guide the Brewers to a division title and 97 regular-season wins.

Williams is currently ranked as the 30th-best prospect in baseball after posting a 136 wRC+ across Double-A and Triple-A in 2025. Sproat started four games for the Mets in 2025 and is their fifth-ranked prospect. His pitch arsenal in those four starts featured six different pitches, with a sinker and sweeper serving as his primary offerings.

Meyers threw 50.2 innings for the Brewers this past season, posting a 3.55 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. He did an excellent job limiting walks, recording a 6.8 percent walk rate that ranked in the 71st percentile across the league. He is a strong addition to the deal for the Mets, as having a long reliever in the bullpen is especially valuable for a contender over the course of a long season.
