Four-star Northwestern commit Jayden Hodge will miss the remainder of his high school season with a torn ACL, his father told ZAGSBLOG. Hodge is a 6-foot-6 senior at Montverde Academy (FL) and a top-65 recruit in the class of 2026.
Following the news of Hodge’s injury, Hodge and his family released an official statement to ZAGSBLOG.
“Our family has received confirmation that Jayden has sustained a torn ACL and will be out for the remainder of the season. He will undergo surgery at a later date to be determined and will begin his rehabilitation immediately. While this is not the outcome any athlete hopes for, Jayden remains in good spirits and is already focused on the work ahead. He is surrounded by an incredible medical team, coaches, teammates, and loved ones who continue to support and uplift him throughout this process,” his family said. “The recovery journey is expected to take approximately six to nine months, and although it is a long road, Jayden is approaching it with strength, discipline, and determination. His journey is far from over—this is simply one chapter, not the ending. Jayden will return better, stronger, and more resilient than ever. We sincerely appreciate the continued prayers, encouragement, and respect for his privacy during this time. Updates regarding his recovery and future plans will be shared when appropriate.”
Originally from New Jersey, Hodge played for the Belgian National Team in the 2025 FIBA U18 EuroBasket and averaged 13.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game at the event. In six games at Montverde this winter, Hodge has averaged 11.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
Hodge, who will be out for the foreseeable future, also released a statement to ZAGSBLOG about his injury.
“This isn’t how I wanted my season to go, but I’m staying positive and focused on my recovery. I’m committed to the process and doing the work every day to come back better and stronger. Thank you to everyone for the love, prayers, and support — it really means a lot. I’ll be back.”
He is set to join Chris Collins and Northwestern next summer, with his timetable to return still unclear.
