U.S. Army Sgt. Francis W. Wiemerslage was killed in Germany during World War II, and after anthropological and DNA analysis, his remains were identified and brought to the U.S. to be buried in a family plot in River Grove, where a military honor guard and his descendants held a funeral and burial service.
