A quick update of random things
I feel like the early Memorial Day date this year just makes everything feel off in some way or another. Let’s catch up with the Notre Dame football news that we need, and let’s use the triple option to do it.
COVER TIME
Just a few months ago some random photos of the new EA Sports College Football 2026 made the rounds on the internet, but it wasn’t the official version. Well — now we have two (a regular cover and a deluxe version) and on the deluxe version, not only do we get a much clearer look at Marcus Freeman’s beautiful face, but we get the Jeremiyah Love trademark “heart” as well.

AGGIE RESPECT
It’s not often that you look at an opponent’s site and find a ton of respect, and yet… TexAgs (of all sites) offers that respect with a short preview of the Irish.
Notre Dame is typically atypical.
Even with so many departures, the Fighting Irish are projected to be a top-10 team: https://t.co/rTT32HCkxd

A GOOD SETUP
Notre Dame is sitting pretty as far as the future of the college football playoff is concerned. It’s obviously something we’ve talked about quite a bit — so make sure to listen to our friend Greg Flammang on Hit and Hustle as he and Jaime Uyeyama break it down.
A STABLE OF TWO
We all know that Notre Dame has the best running back room in the nation, but PFF has them ranked #2 behind the Penn State Nittany Lions. In all fairness — it’s not as disrespectful as you might think. For a shinier silver lining… imagine thinking how far the RB room has come over the last decade.
