Notre Dame commit J.J. Starling added to Nike Hoop Summit roster

March 8, 2022 by Zags Blog

Notre Dame commit Jonathan “JJ” Starling of La Lumiere School (IN) has been added to the 2022 USA Nike Hoop Summit Team.

Kentucky pledge Cason Wallace (Richardson H.S. / Dallas) will no longer participate in the event. The original roster was announced last month.

The Nike Hoop Summit will return to Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, at 7 p.m. PT on Friday, April 8. The game, featuring top American high school senior boys facing off against international players 19-and-younger, will be contested for the first time since 2019 following a layoff due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets for the 22nd Nike Hoop Summit are on sale now by visiting Ticketmaster.com.

The 2022 World Select Team is expected to be announced at a later date and will draw players from FIBA Africa, FIBA Americas, FIBA Asia, FIBA Europe and FIBA Oceania, with approved sanction of FIBA, the governing body of international basketball.
