Week 5 of the NFL Season is in the books. It is time to look ahead to Week 6. Here are the Week 6 quarterback rankings for fantasy football. Bye weeks are here with C.J. Stroud and J.J. McCarthy/Carson Wentz all out for Week 6. Lamar Jackson is out while Brock Purdy is questionable this week.
Quarterback Rankings Week 6 Fantasy Football
Tier 1: The Big 4
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 1 | Josh Allen | Atlanta Falcons (MNF) |
| 2 | Jayden Daniels | Chicago Bears (MNF) |
| 3 | Jalen Hurts | New York Giants (TNF) |
| 4 | Patrick Mahomes | Detroit Lions (SNF) |
The Big 4 quarterbacks are the best of the best in fantasy football and will all be playing in prime time this weekend:
- Daniels returned in Week 5 from injury after missing two weeks. He had an ok performance, scoring 17 fantasy points, but finishing outside of the top 10 quarterbacks for the week. He only had one touchdown as the rookie running back, “Bill” Jacory Croskey-Merritt scored two on the ground.
Tier 2: Low-End QB1s
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 5 | Jordan Love | Cincinnati Bengals |
| 6 | Bo Nix | New York Jets |
| 7 | Matthew Stafford | Baltimore Ravens |
| 8 | Dak Prescott | Carolina Panthers |
| 9 | Drake Maye | New Orleans Saints |
| 10 | Justin Fields | Denver Broncos |
These guys are low-end QB1s, and I feel comfortable starting any of them as my QB1 this week:
- Love is coming off a bye week and has a great matchup against the Bengals defense, which has been terrible this season.
- Nix led the Broncos to a victory over the Eagles in Week 5 and now gets a matchup against the only winless team left in the NFL, the New York Jets. The Jets just got destroyed by the Cowboys and Prescott, who threw for four touchdowns.
- The Ravens are dealing with many injuries on both offense and defense, leading to them struggling on both sides of the ball. They have given up at least 37 points in four of five games this season. C.J. Stroud scored 28.76 fantasy points against them in Week 5. To put that in perspective, this was the first game that Stroud had 20 fantasy points since Week 4 of 2024. Stafford is about to have a monster game.

Tier 3: High-End QB2s

| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 11 | Justin Herbert | Miami Dolphins |
| 12 | Baker Mayfield | San Francisco 49ers |
| 13 | Sam Darnold | Jacksonville Jaguars |
| 14 | Jaxson Dart | Philadelphia Eagles (TNF) |
| 15 | Caleb Williams | Washington Commanders (MNF) |
This tier consists of the high-end QB2:
- Mayfield and Darnold put on a show against one another in Week 6, both finishing as top-five fantasy quarterbacks on the week. Mayfield came out victorious as the Bucs won on a game-winning field goal. They both have tougher matchups this week and are high-end QB2s in the quarterback rankings.
- Dart had a shaky second start in the NFL, having two passing touchdowns but three turnovers. He has a difficult matchup against the Eagles in Week 6.

Tier 4: Superflex Options Only
| Rank | Player | Opponent |
| 16 | Jared Goff | Kansas City Chiefs (SNF) |
| 17 | Daniel Jones | Arizona Cardinals |
| 18 | Kyler Murray | Indianapolis Colts |
| 19 | Bryce Young | Dallas Cowboys |
| 20 | Geno Smith | Tennessee Titans |
These players are options only in very deep leagues or SuperFlex leagues:
- For the fifth time this year, Murray scored between 14 and 18.5 fantasy points. He continues to be “mid” this year in fantasy.
- Young led the Panthers to a big comeback win over the Dolphins. He gets a great matchup against the Cowboys in Week 6, making him the streamer of the week for Week 6.
