The Chicago Bears made their first defensive move of the 2021 NFL draft selecting Oregon cornerback Thomas Graham Jr. with the 228th overall pick. Chicago added some valuable depth at cornerback during an offseason where there’s been a bit of a shake-up in the defensive backfield.
The Bears got an absolute steal with Graham in the sixth round, as Pro Football Focus had him ranked as the 76th-best prospect in the draft, and Chicago got him with the 228th pick.
During his time at Oregon, Graham was known for his playmaking ability and ball skills, which included 32 pass breakups in three seasons. If he hadn’t opted out of the 2020 season, Graham would’ve entered his senior year leading the FBS in pass breakups.
