WASHINGTON — The start of Saturday’s Chicago White Sox game against the Washington Nationals was delayed because of rain.
The contest was scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m. CT at Nationals Park. The new approximate start time is 3:45 p.m.
The Sox won Friday’s series opener 10-9 behind a two-run home run in the ninth inning by Colson Montgomery. The Sox won despite allowing six home runs and wasting an 8-1 lead.
Tyler Gilbert is slated to be Saturday’s opener for the Sox.
