AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Alaa Muzyed, 25, 5000 block of 79th Street, Burbank, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Nov. 12, charged with aggravated assault, police said. Officers said Muzyed assumed a boxing/martial arts stance Sept. 28 while threatening a person who was at least 60, police said.
Crete
SEX OFFENDER: A Crete man is scheduled to appear in Will County court Oct. 27, charged with failing to register as a sex offender and being a sex offender living within 500 feet of a facility providing programs or services exclusively directed toward persons under 18, according to amended court records online. Gordon L. Krupa, 68, 500 block of West Exchange Street, was arrested Oct. 5 in that block after officers determined he hadn’t registered as a sex offender and that he was living near a Crete Park District facility, police said. Krupa was convicted in 2006 of aggravated sexual assault of an 11-year-old, according to the Texas Sex Offender Registry online.
Evergreen Park
GUN POSSESSION: Shaun Michael A. Patton, 44, Chicago, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview Nov. 5, charged with unlawful use of a weapon. Patton was arrested Sept. 19 at a department store in the 2500 block of 95th Street after officers recovered a loaded handgun lacking a serial number and determined he had no concealed carry license, police said.
Homewood
GUN POSSESSION: Trelan Morrow, 26, 1800 block of Cardinal Court, Flossmoor, was arrested Aug. 28 and accused of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after officers recovered a loaded handgun and determined he lacked a gun permit and concealed carry license during a stop in the 3100 block of 183rd Street, police said.
Lockport
IDENTITY THEFT: Eugene A. Folk III, 34, Chicago, appeared in Will County court Oct. 16, charged with identity theft/knowing ID was stolen and unlawful possession of a credit/debit card, according to court records online. Folk was arrested Sept. 30 at an ATM in the 16000 block of Farrell Road with three debit cards belonging to other people and $2,880 after making multiple withdrawals, police said.
BATTERY: Justin W. Licata, 39, 600 block of Katherine Street, Lockport, was arrested Oct. 9 and subsequently charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery to a police officer and kicking a responding officer in the leg, police said.
Monee
THEFT ALLEGED: Amine Bouslimi, 19, Chicago Heights, was arrested Oct. 6 and accused of theft after using his position at Amazon, 6605 W Monee-Manhattan Road, to take merchandise collectively retailing at $2,000, police said.
Oak Lawn
AGGRAVATED BATTERY: Cristal E. Leatherberry, 32, 1400 Kasten Drive, Dolton, was arrested and subsequently charged with aggravated battery to a police officer after punching an officer in the face Sept. 21 at GG`s Sport Bar and Grill, 9600 Pulaski Road, police said. Leatherberry was among 35 patrons involved in a disturbance that began with a spilled drink and drew 10 local officers and 15 officers from nearby towns, police said.
HOME INVASION: Demarkus Ross, 35, 7200 block of West 111th St., Worth, appeared in Cook County court Oct. 21, charged with home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping while armed with a firearm and armed robbery, according to police and sheriff’s records online. Ross forced a resident of a condominium in the 10900 block of Keating Avenue into the bathroom at gunpoint on Oct. 9, left with the victim’s possessions in the victim’s car and was stopped a block away, police said.
Orland Park
DUI CRASH: Teresa Gonzales-Cruz, 22, 9700 Ravinia Court, Orland Park, was arrested Sept. 28 and accused of drunken driving, failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, hit-and-run and driving without proof of insurance during an investigation of a two-vehicle crash at 151st Street and LaGrange Road, police said.
IDENTITY THEFT: Stevie A. Price, 20, Chicago, was arrested Oct. 2 and subsequently charged with identity theft and possessing another’s debit card after using the card and multiple gift cards to purchase a computer tablet at a department store in the 15800 block of 94th Avenue, police said.
Park Forest
CHILD ABUSE: Kendell L. Carr, 23, Chicago, appeared in Will County court Oct. 16, charged with aggravated battery of a child younger than 13, according to court records online. Carr struck a youngster with a cellphone charging cable and a wooden stick on Sept. 26 in a parking lot in the 200 block of Monee Road, police said.
GUN POSSESSION: Jaquay A. Shines, 28, Chicago, appeared in Will County court Oct. 16, charged with being a felon possessing a weapon/second arrest and aggravated domestic battery/strangulation, according to court records online. Shines was arrested Sept. 24 in the first block of Arbor Trail after officers recovered a 9 mm pistol, police said.
RECKLESS DRIVING: Barfeale F. Dailey, 52, first block of Towanda Court, Park Forest, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Markham Nov. 7, charged with reckless driving, drunken driving, speeding, disregarding a stop sign and improper lane use, police said. Dailey caught an officer’s attention by screeching tires at 6:50 a.m. Sept. 24, outpaced the officer for five blocks with speeds more than doubling the 30 mph limit on Blackhawk Drive between Sauk Trail and Shabbona Street and then drove another four blocks before stopping, police said.
Tinley Park
DEALING ALLEGED: A Tinley Park woman is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 12 in Will County court for allegedly selling more than 15 grams of cocaine or a synthetic drug that mimics cocaine’s effects in November 2024, according to court records online. Rebecca L. Potesta, 25, 17700 block of 71st Court, was indicted Aug. 8 on the narcotic racketeering charge, which includes allegedly selling up to 15 grams of the drug once in May 2024 and three times in June 2024, court records show.
Will County
DUI CRASH: Shane P. Kenny, 25, 7200 block of West Hickory Creek Drive, Frankfort Square, was arrested Oct. 10 and subsequently charged with drunken driving and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision after driving through a fence into an above-ground pool in the 20700 block of Hickory Creek Drive, sheriff’s police said.
