The Offensive Rookie of the Year race is heating up for 2025. With no clear lead rookie to run away with the award, there are multiple players who could solidify their case in the coming weeks. Let’s take a look at the top candidates to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for the 2025 NFL season.

5. Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts TE
Tyler Warren is currently third in receiving yards among all rookies. He’s been a key part of the Colts offense as they’ve impressed throughout the season. With their quarterback position in turmoil, a couple of big weeks from Warren could really help his case to win OROY. He hasn’t made quite the impact some had hoped as a run blocker, but he’s more than adequate in that aspect of the game and is part of the solution for the Colts offense.

4. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants QB
The Offensive Rookie of the Year award is primarily a quarterback award. Five of the last ten winners were quarterbacks, but this year lacks a strong competitor. Dart is the only one with a chance, and his dual-threat ability is part of the reason he’s still in the running. He’s already 25th all-time for most total touchdowns by a rookie quarterback, and with three games left to play, he has room to rise. He needs eight total touchdowns to leapfrog Baker Mayfield (a former OROY recipient) and only five to jump over Kyler Murray.

3. Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR
Emeka Egbuka leads all rookie receivers in yards, is tied for touchdowns, and has a strong case for the award. But part of the award is the narratives around it, and Egbuka has had a strange season. He started hot, with the majority of his yards and touchdowns coming in the beginning of the season. Now he has been inefficient and underwhelming, and that could sway voters’ minds if he doesn’t turn it around.

2. TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots RB
Henderson is currently the consensus favorite for the award, but that feels like a mistake. This award race is tight, and the next three weeks can sway voters immensely. The Patriots just lost to the Buffalo Bills heartbreakingly. They’ll play the Ravens, Jets, and Dolphins to close the season. There are a couple of different ways the Week 18 matchup becomes meaningless for the Patriots, and we could see Henderson lose out on key touches down the stretch.
1. Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers WR
McMillan is the number one option for the Panthers offense. Unlike Egbuka, who has Baker Mayfield sending him the ball, or TreVeyon Henderson, who’s playing with an MVP candidate, McMillan is the lone bright spot for Carolina. This matters for voters who will be filling out their ballots, and at the end of the day, it’s human nature. As voters mark Drake Maye for MVP, or think about the talent in Tampa Bay, McMillan has the best chance to steal votes from other players if he shows out the next three weeks. Two of the three games are against the Buccaneers to decide who wins the NFC South, and likely decide the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for 2025.
