But Week 15 served as a stark reminder of the NFL’s unpredictability, as the defense struggled without its star pass rusher and the offense couldn’t deliver late in Denver.

Jordan Love: Love has taken a huge step forward this season, playing some of his best football before the second half in Denver. Since becoming the starter two years ago, Love has shown that being on the road in a hostile environment does not faze him. If the Packers are going to beat Chicago on Saturday, Love needs to bring his A game and be the leader we have seen him be in the past.
Christian Watson: Watson was a limited participant on Wednesday in practice, just days after having to go to the hospital due to a chest injury. Signs are pointing to him fighting to play in this game, and if he can go, it would be a significant boost for the offense in a key match. Watson’s two touchdowns in the last meeting showed the Chicago secondary just cannot keep up with him, and he will continue to be a Bears killer if he plays.
Josh Jacobs: What else is there to say about Jacobs except that he is the heart and soul of this offense? The man has battled through a knee injury since the Giants game and continues to run hard and make plays when this team needs him the most. A physical ground game could slow Chicago’s pass rush and sustain drives.
Units that Must Step Up
The Offensive Line: Brian Gutekunst has invested a lot of capital into this o-line, and they have significantly underperformed this season. Injuries have played a part, and this week will be no different if Zach Tom is unable to play. Look for Darian Kinnard to get the start at correct tackle with Jordan Morgan coming in as the extra lineman on jumbo sets. If Rasheed Walker gets out to another slow start and plays like he did last week in Denver, do not be surprised if Morgan is out there at left tackle at some point during the game.
The Defense: Without Parsons, the Packers’ pass rush loses its centerpiece. But Green Bay’s defense can still win the trenches and create momentum if it gets consistent pressure by using disguised looks. Lukas Van Ness and Rashan Gary can play significant factors in the pass rush, and Jeff Hafley may even toy with the idea of sending Quay Walker on blitzes through the A-gap, as he did at times with Parsons.

Green Bay’s linebackers and secondary need to generate pressure without dropping coverage integrity. Stuffing the Bears on early downs forces third‑and‑long situations, prime opportunities for turnovers. This is no easy task, as we saw two weeks ago; however, it will be key to limiting what Chicago can do on offense.
Let’s not forget that the defensive backs need to start catching these easy interception opportunities that come their way. Hauling in picks would silence Soldier Field and flip the game’s momentum.
Control the Clock
Long, sustained drives help take the pressure off the defense. Mixing runs and play-action keeps Chicago’s pass rush from pinning its ears back. The Bears had just one sack in week 14, but look for them to bring more pressure this time around if the Packers get behind the sticks.
Establishing the run early will help keep the sticks moving and the defense fresh. The key after that will be finishing off drives with points.

Protect Jordan Love, and he’ll deliver the plays that put this team in position to win. Denver’s late pressure overwhelmed the line and erased any downfield options.
