Most Chicago Bears fans were bracing for running back Ashton Jeanty or one of the top offensive tackles. Or perhaps a defensive lineman in the first round on Thursday night, but as the picks started to come off the board, and there was no trade back, tight end came into focus.
Michigan’s Colston Loveland and Penn State’s Tyler Warren were at the top of the position, and the Bears went with Loveland, the Wolverines’ 6’5” 248-pounder.
We asked you guys for your immediate grade, and most were pleased, checking in with 65% at the two highest marks.

I’m curious to know more about the D and F voters. Do you think Loveland is bad? Are you mad the Bears didn’t trade up or down? Do you think Warren is the better prospect? Are you a lost Packer fan who came here to troll?
If you had a vision for the future and picked tight as the position the Bears would draft first with our partners at FanDuel, you had a decent payout at +290. If you successfully predicted Loveland, you may have cashed in at +850.
Besides our Reacts’ poll question about Loveland, which you answered last week, we also asked you to grade all the individual picks after they were made.
Here’s how those polls went.
2nd round: Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri – A (44%)
2nd round: Ozzy Trapilo, OT, Boston College – B (48%)
2nd round: Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M – B (51%)
4th round: Ruben Hyppolite II, LB, Maryland – B (29%) / C (27%)
5th round: Zah Frazier, CB, Texas-San Antonio – B (42%)
6th round: Luke Newman, OL, Michigan State – B (46%)
7th round: Kyle Monangai, RB, Rutgers – B (32%) / A (28%) / C (28%)
You also voted on Chicago’s 2025 draft class shortly after it was finalized, and 51% of you gave it a B, which was close to what the experts went with.
