Former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh shared some wisdom about Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
Every time something is shared on social media about a professional athlete taking a vacation, going to a concert, doing charity work, attending a sporting event, or doing a hobby they may have, there’s always that guy who has to jump in the comments to be a jackass.
‘thats great but you should be working out’
‘watch some film!!!’
‘cool but get in your playbook’
These same troglodytes call into sports radio to bitch and moan about athletes not spending every waking hour on their sport.
I’m not sure what prompted former Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to come to the defense of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, but that’s exactly what happened earlier today.
Check out the Tweet and video below.
Everyone wants Caleb Williams to be obsessed with football 24/7.
But the real ones know.. Stepping away can make you better.
When your whole identity is the game, you burn out.
When you build a life outside of it, you stay sharp.
That’s what I did. I locked in, handled… pic.twitter.com/UNCQ26RLqg

When you build a life outside of it, you stay sharp.
That’s what I did. I locked in, handled business on the field…
Then I spent the rest of my time in WB meetings, with Andreessen Horowitz (CLF), Marcy Venture Partners (MVP), building a development company.
That’s how I played over a decade.
That’s how I am building generational wealth.
Let the young man grow, on and off the field!
Maybe Suh felt guilty for crossing the line at times when he played the Bears, or maybe he has a business venture he’s working on with Caleb. Whatever the reason, kudos to him for sharing his thoughts.
