We have the dates for Chicago’s Rookie Minicamp!
Earlier today, the league announced offseason workout dates for all 32 teams, and if you’re having déjà vu, that’s because the NFL announced some dates earlier this month. However, a closer look revealed that this set of dates now also has the rookie minicaps listed.
We’ll get our first look at the 2025 rookie class of the Chicago Bears on Friday, May 9, through Sunday, May 11. The beat reporters will surely be limited on what they can report on, but regardless, it’ll be good to finally get some real info from Halas Hall.
Even if draft picks don’t sign their contracts by minicamp, there are contractual safeguards in place in case of an injury, so everyone should be there.
Speaking of injuries, first-round draft pick Colston Lovelend is still rehabbing his shoulder, but the expectation is that he’ll be full go by training camp.
The Bears have yet to officially announce any undrafted rookie signings, but I was able to find reports of ten undrafted free agents (UDFAs) and several rookie minicamp invitees, which are listed in this tracker.
In addition to the rookie minicamp, the NFL has issued guidelines for additional rookie workouts this offseason.
“Each club may hold a rookie football development program for a period of seven weeks, which in 2025 may begin on May 12. During this period, no activities may be held on weekends, with the exception of one post-Draft rookie minicamp, which may be conducted on either the first or second weekend following the draft.”
The veterans will next of on the field for their voluntary OTA Offseason Workouts on May 20-22, May 28-30, and June 9-11, with their Mandatory Minicamp currently scheduled for June 3-5.
