WCG’s lead draft analyst breaks down the tape of the Bears’ newest offensive lineman.
With the No. 75 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears have selected Yale offensive lineman Kiran Amegadjie.
A three-year starter at the collegiate level and a 2023 first-team FCS All-American, Amegadjie dominated at the FCS level and was the first player selected in this year’s draft to not play at the FBS level. His length, mobility and play strength are widely considered to be positives of his game, as they were on full display in his dominant tape at Yale.
Amegadjie was the No. 58 player on my board this year, my top offensive lineman on the board, as well as the fourth-best overall player still available in my rankings at the time of his selection. His starting experience at both tackle and guard should make him a valuable asset for Chicago’s offensive line as their swing man in 2024 and an easily projectable starter in the near future.
Here’s my quick breakdown of the Bears selecting the Hinsdale native Amegadjie.
THREAD: The #Bears got my top offensive lineman available and a future starter in Yale OT Kiran Amegadjie.

Amegadjie’s physical tools are huge here. Second-longest arms in the OT class at 36 1/8 inches.
He’s a great athlete with nimble feet and impressive redirect skills. He also blocks with a nasty edge and is willing to drive defenders into the dirt. #Bears pic.twitter.com/ihNaSwKmaT

Amegadjie uses his length well, and it’s very tough to get inside his frame at the point of attack.
Good luck working across his body, too. His lateral quickness allows him to fare well against cuts inside, outside speed rushes and stunts. #Bears pic.twitter.com/69EnwZBPSV

When you’re drafting an FCS player, you want them to have dominant tape.
Amegadjie has exactly that. 89.5 PFF grade before he got hurt. Explosive in his lower half with the ability to drive defenders off the ball. #Bears pic.twitter.com/RngbRY9OIe

Amegadjie’s range in pass protection is very impressive.
His mobility and length allow him to cover an absurd amount of space, and he maintains a high motor with active hand fighting and leg drive. #Bears pic.twitter.com/oFwtx8cPeb

Here’s Kiran Amegadjie’s spider chart. He didn’t test at the Combine due to injury.
Absurd length with an impressive build. He has LT/LG versatility, which should help him see more playing time for the #Bears. pic.twitter.com/MnsJbs2MuU

I had Kiran Amegadjie as a second-round pick, even with his minor late-season injury.
He’s the top FCS player in this class. Elite physical tools and the ability to slide almost anywhere on the offensive line. Ryan Poles nails it again. #Bears
