Emeka Egbuka was drafted with the 19th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a surprise pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Buccaneers have a very strong wide receiver room, but they went out and drafted another great receiver. Dynasty Outlook for Emeka Egbuka
Current Production
Egbuka played four great seasons for the Ohio State Buckeyes and capped off his career with a National Championship. He only had nine catches in his freshman year, but then popped off in his sophomore season, catching 74 passes for 1,151 yards and ten receiving touchdowns. Egbuka added two rushing touchdowns that year as well. He had a down year in 2023, playing in only ten games and having just 41 receptions. Remember, he was playing with Marvin Harrison Jr. in both 2022 and 2023.
He had a strong rebound in 2024, playing in 16 games and having 81 receptions for 1,011 yards and ten touchdown receptions. Interestingly, his best statistical season was in 2022, and Harrison Jr had 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns. Overall, it was a very successful career for Egbuka on the Buckeyes, and he looks to continue that success in the NFL with the Buccaneers.

Egbuka Dynasty Price
According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Egbuka is the WR32. He was the WR40 before the draft, jumped to the WR29 a few days after the draft, and then dropped back down to the WR32. Fantasy managers are having mixed feelings about Egbuka’s landing spot. He is currently ranked behind Jayden Reed, Mike Evans, and Tyreek Hill, while ranked ahead of Brandon Aiyuk, Jerry Jeudy, and Jaylen Waddle. Egbuka is being drafted in the late first round in 2025 dynasty rookie drafts. The only wide receivers drafted ahead of him are Tetairoa McMillan and Travis Hunter. Matthew Golden is being drafted right around Egbuka.
Egbuka Dynasty Outlook
At first glance, Egbuka was drafted to a bad landing spot for fantasy football. The Buccaneers have a really crowded skill player room, which is great news for quarterback Baker Mayfield. However, there are some concerns with some of the players. Mike Evans will be 32 years old next season. Also, the Buccaneers can get out of his contract after the 2025 season. Even if Evans plays his entire career for the Bucs, his age will eventually slow him down in the next few seasons.
Chris Godwin signed a three-year, $66 million contract to stay with the Bucs. There is a club option for the third year. However, Godwin is coming off a severe ankle injury and will be 29 years old next season. He might not be ready for the start of the season. Egbuka’s player comparison is Godwin, as they both play a lot of snaps in the slot. Egbuka can easily slide into being Godwin’s replacement.
The Buccaneers have other skilled pass catchers, including Jalen McMillan, who had a good rookie season, tight end Cade Otton, and two elite pass-catching running backs in Rachaad White and Bucky Irving. There are a lot of mouths to feed in this offense.
Egbuka is going to have to wait for his time in Tampa Bay. Until Evans and Godwin start to decline, Egbuka will struggle to earn a high enough target share to be productive. However, in a few years, Egbuka can be a very productive player in both fantasy football and real life. Egbuka is one of those rookies who do not have much value for the 2025 season, but has a very bright dynasty outlook for the future.

Should You Draft Emeka Egbuka in Dynasty Rookie Drafts?
This answer depends on what stage your team is in entering the 2025 season. If you are trying to win now and need a wide receiver to help you in 2025, Egbuka is not a player to draft. However, if you are in a multi-year rebuild, Egbuka is the perfect player to draft, as he won’t help your team too much next season, meaning you can still get an early pick in 2026 and continue the rebuilding process. Egbuka was a fun player to watch at Ohio State, and that will remain true when he gets his chance to produce with the Buccaneers.
