Eagles Predicted to “Aggressively Pursue” Top NFL Trade Candidate – Five-Time Pro Bowler Reportedly Still Upset

February 14, 2026 by Last Word On Pro Football

The trade rumors are not going anywhere for the Las Vegas Raiders, as one source believes that defensive star Maxx Crosby could join the Philadelphia Eagles as a potential fit. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo appeared on the “Anthony Gargano Show” and brought up that the Eagles could be a fit for Crosby. While the defensive end wants to focus on football and shut down the rumors of a trade, it unfortunately won’t be going anywhere until he joins a new team. Crosby, a five-time Pro Bowler, is one of the most gifted athletes in the league, so it’s no surprise that his name continues to be a hot topic, and it will be that way during the offseason.

“Big time.. I would put the Eagles in the top three, five, whatever [teams] for Maxx Crosby if and when this thing opens up — and I do believe it’s going to open up,” said Garafolo.

Could the Eagles be a landing spot for Maxx Crosby if the Raiders trade him this offseason? 👀

Eagles Predicted to “Aggressively Pursue” Top NFL Trade Candidate Maxx Crosby

The Drama Continues

Now, Maxx Crosby is reportedly still upset with the organization and Tom Brady. Jay Glazer and Albert Breer are both reporting that the relationship between the parties is still fractured. The Raiders want to keep Crosby, especially after hiring new head coach Klint Kubiak, but the defensive star continues to send mixed signals. It wouldn’t be a surprise at this point if Crosby requests a trade from the team.

Meanwhile, it’s easy to see why the Eagles could pursue Crosby. They have their own star, AJ Brown, who is unhappy with the organization and could dangle him on the trade block in exchange for Crosby. If the Eagles lose Jaelan Phillips, GM Howie Roseman may make a strong push for Crosby.

Will Crosby Eventually Leave?

The defensive end will likely be open to exploring his options. At age 28, he’s entering his prime, and probably doesn’t want to waste his potential for a team that is obviously rebuilding. Even though the Raiders may draft a promising quarterback, Fernando Mendoza, it won’t matter until he gets acclimated in a decent offensive environment.

It means it will take more than just one season to see some results. While the Raiders could see some improvement, it’s not a guarantee after just firing former head coach Pete Carroll coming off a disastrous 2025 campaign. The best bet for Crosby is join a contender and revitalize his career before it’s too late. The only thing that might be difficult is finding a trade suitor who is willing to take his current three-year, $106.5 million contract extension, which he signed last offseason.
