The deaths of three people, including an infant girl and 6-year-old boy, who were pulled from the water near South Side beaches Saturday appear to be connected and stem from a “domestic dispute,” according to Chicago police.
Police said the baby was recovered from Lake Michigan in the 5700 block of South Lake Shore Drive just before 11:30 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Later in the afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., a 6-year-old boy was pronounced dead after being removed from the water near 63rd Street. A 31-year-old woman was taken from the water and pronounced dead at the same location and time.
Police have not disclosed the relationship between the three victims. Detectives are conducting investigations into each of these incidents, police said.
