Chicago Bears fans will have 11 chances to watch Caleb Williams and the rest of the team practice during training camp at Halas Hall in Lake Forest this summer.
The Bears announced their training camp schedule Wednesday morning, with rookies reporting for camp on July 19 and veterans reporting on July 22. The schedule includes 11 practices at Halas Hall that are open to the public with a free ticket. Those 11 open practices include two crossover practices, one each with the Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills.
The first practice will be on July 23, while the first practice that is open to the public will be two days later on July 25.
Fans will need a free ticket to watch the open practices at Halas Hall. Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. July 9 at chicagobears.com/camp.
Fans are not allowed to park at Halas Hall. Instead, fans can take a free shuttle bus from nearby Hawthorn Mall. Drop-offs and rideshare services to Halas Hall will not be allowed.
Additionally, the team’s Family Fest practice at Soldier Field will make its return. The Bears will hold an additional practice open to fans on Aug. 3 at Soldier Field. Tickets for Family Fest will go on sale on July 11, with more information available at chicagobears.com/familyfest. The Bears did not hold a Family Fest last year due to scheduling conflicts.
The two joint practices will be a highlight of training camp. First, the Bears will host the Dolphins on Aug. 8. A week later, they’ll host Josh Allen and the Bills on Aug. 15. Amid the monotony of practicing against teammates every day, those joint practices can be a welcome change for players.
“The way I viewed those in the past has been, it’s a good opportunity to break up camp a little bit, controlled setting, yet high, high intensity,” Bears coach Ben Johnson said this spring. “I think the competitive nature of just about everybody, once you get in between those white lines against an opponent like that, it goes up another notch.”
The joint practices will take place a day before the preseason games at Soldier Field.
