Breaking: Dolphins Expected to Cut Top NFL Superstar After Devastating Injury – 4 Top Suitors Emerge

October 6, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

After his gruesome injury, it looks like the Miami Dolphins are expected to move on and cut wide receiver Tyreek Hill once the 2025 regular season is over. According to several reports, the expectation is that the Dolphins will cut Hill even though he still has one more season on his current deal. However, the top superstar is willing to stay in Miami and wants to negotiate a number to be a part of this offense, but it won’t be up to him. Hill has been a part of several trade rumors since last season, as the Dolphins are depleted, and the same story is unfolding for them this year.

Miami might be doing Hill a favor by letting him choose his next team, as he will be entering his age 32 next year, and he should have plenty of interest once he recovers. Originally selected in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the former West Alabama product is trending towards the end of his career, but he still has some type of juice left in the tank once he recovers. The five-time All-Pro had his best seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs before his contract became too great for the team to afford, so they traded him to the Miami Dolphins in 2022 for a first-round draft pick. With head coach Mike McDaniel already on the hot seat, Hill will likely be in a new uniform with these four new rosters.

Possible Destinations

Baltimore Ravens

At 1-3, it’s easy to predict the Baltimore Ravens will not make it far into the postseason this season if they even make it. With Lamar Jackson planning to miss time, it might be much safer for this team to, unfortunately, tank this year. Veteran quarterback Cooper Rush is not an adequate signal-caller to lead the Ravens in the right direction. With that, they have plenty of talent to retain and extend contracts, which include two high-level playmakers in DeAndre Hopkins and Zay Flowers.

While the chemistry has been off in Baltimore, the Ravens were better than they looked. If they can find a way to retain the same offense, they should sign Hill on a low-stakes one-year deal to put them in the best spot for a Super Bowl run.

Los Angeles Chargers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers have one of the hottest offenses despite losing Najee Harris and a few hits on the offensive line. Quarterback Justin Herbert is proving that he is top 5, and if they fall flat in the playoffs, this should motivate head coach Jim Harbaugh to search for a viable superstar weapon. This isn’t to say that Quentin Johnston or Ladd McConkey can serve in that role, but they need championship experience in their receiver unit. Hill could be a major upgrade in this aerial attack while they continue to develop KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Tre Harris.

Buffalo Bills

Ever since they traded Stefon Diggs, the Buffalo Bills haven’t had a true superstar receiver in their depth chart. The good news is that this hasn’t stopped Josh Allen from succeeding on the field with the weapons he has in Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel. Hill could turn up the jets and provide Allen with speed that could help Buffalo in their first Super Bowl appearance.

Washington Commanders

However, the Washington Commanders are building an old-school roster on purpose. They’re trying to maximize Jayden Daniels before his rookie contract is up, and they should continue to do that. While they traded for Deebo Samuel, they haven’t seen much from Terry McLaurin ever since he signed his new contract. Hill could be the missing piece that the Commanders need to appear as a capable Super Bowl team.
