Best Bets for Rookie Season Long Props on FanDuel

August 29, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Football

Fanduel has released a ton of rookie prop bets for the 2025 season. Let’s look at some of the most popular names, and a couple of deeper ones, to find the best bets for rookie props this year.

Tetairoa McMillan Receiving Yards – Over 850.5

The Panthers didn’t spend up for McMillan for fun. He was a target hog at Arizona, and is expected to immediately slot in as the number one receiver in this offense. Here’s a brief history of receivers selected in the top ten, and their rookie year yardage totals:

  • Marvin Harrison Jr. – 885 yards
  • Malik Nabers – 1204 yards
  • Rome Odunze – 734 yards
  • Drake London – 866 yards
  • Garrett Wilson – 1103 yards
  • Ja’Marr Chase – 1455 yards
  • Jaylen Waddle – 1015 yards
  • Devonta Smith – 916 yards

The only one to not hit this line had severe target competition in a dysfunctional offense. If Drake London can put up 866 yards with Desmond Ridder at quarterback, McMillan’s line is just a touch too low.

Matthew Golden Receiving Yards – Over 700.5

This line hasn’t caught up with the Jayden Reed news, or that Golden appears to be the closest thing to a number one this offense has right now. The Packers love to rotate their receivers, but finally paid up for a pass catcher. Four different players in Green Bay cleared the 600-yard mark last year, even with injuries to some of those players and Jordan Love. With Jayden Reed dealing with a much more serious injury than initially expected, Watson is still recovering from his knee injury, and the runway is open for Golden to contribute immediately.

Cam Ward Passing Touchdowns – Under 18.5

Cam Ward is a great prospect who will be a ton of fun to watch this year. But when examining his receiving corps, it isn’t a recipe for a bombs-away mentality. Ward makes a lot of his money scrambling out of structure, and the Titans defense isn’t terrible. The Titans are likely to bring him along slowly, run the ball, and try to condense games to win in an ugly fashion rather than having Calvin Ridley and Tyler Lockett be their keys to success. 19 passing touchdowns would put Ward in the top 20 for rookies all time, and if you want to bet on Ward, his yardage total might be more enticing at 3200 yards.

Colston Loveland Receiving Yards – Under 550.5

A tight end, recovering from injury, in a crowded offense with a new OC. What could go wrong? As rookie props go, this has a lot of ways to cash out on the under, but will need a fairly surprising season to hit the over. Loveland is a fantastic prospect, but when trying to identify the way targets will be split across this offense, he’s a tough bet to clear 500 yards. Tyler Warren‘s line is only 20 yards higher, and it’s easier to see him as the number two or three option in his own offense.
