The Chicago Bears play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet.
The game starts at 12 p.m. CT and can be seen on FOX.
The Bears are sitting at 0-1, but not quite in the basement after the Minnesota Vikings’ 0-2 start. Meanwhile, the Bucs sit atop the NFC South at 1-0, a division that’s up for grabs this season.
The lines, courtesy of BetMGM
- Point spread: Bears +2.5
- Money line: Bears +120, Bucs -145
- Over-under: 40.5
Bears at Bucs injury report:
- Bears: CB Josh Blackwell (doubtful, hamstring)
- Bucs: CB Carlton Davis (out, toe); LB SirVocea Dennis (out, hamstring); DL Calijah Kancey (out, calf); S Christian Izien (questionable, concussion)
Advice and prediction
History hasn’t been kind to the Bears when they face the Bucs in Tampa. In those previous three meetings, Chicago is 0-3 and has been outscored 103-20. But, historically, the Bears have fared better against the Bucs in the month of September, going 10-5.
The Bears and Bucs both scored 20 points in their season opener, so don’t expect this contest to be a high-scoring affair. While Chicago has allowed 28-plus points in nine of the last 11 games, I’d still take the under at 40.5 with Tampa Bay to cover at 2.5.
Prediction: Bucs 20, Bears 17
