Taylor Swift took over the NFL last year after her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce went public.
Swift’s appearances at Arrowhead Stadium and the Super Bowl caught the attention of network cameras and helped introduce a new audience to the NFL.
And with Saturday’s late-round draft pick, the Chicago Bears appear to have landed a “Taylor Swift” of their own.
Chicago selected Iowa star punter Tory Taylor with the 122nd pick this year which quickly led to fans connecting the dots on social media:

“Bears are so back,” a user said.
“The script is written,” another tweeted.
“Welp.. Bears just won the offseason,” a fan replied.
“Got that 1st year arrival Super Bowl champ magic in our corner,” another Chicago fan commented.
“Bears are winning the Super Bowl sorry I don’t make the rules,” another person shared.
“‘We’re not going to KC we have Taylor Swift at home’ #BearDown.”
Fans in the Chi have to be excited about what their team has been able to do with this draft. With their selections the Bears landed arguably the best quarterback, wide receiver and punter in this year’s class while also landing some help in the trenches.
We’ll see if this becomes a new era for the franchise (no pun intended).
