A male who appeared to be in his late teens was fatally shot in the West Pullman neighborhood on Sunday morning, according to Chicago police.
The shooting took place in the 11900 block of South Wallace Street around 3:08 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arriving at the scene, officers said they spoke with a witness who said the male was in an alley when they heard gunshots.
The witness then relocated to where the victim was and found him in alley with a gunshot wound to the head. The Chicago Fire Department provided aid to the victim, who was subsequently pronounced dead on scene.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet released the victim’s exact age and identity.
No one is in custody.
