Four-star Katrelle Harmon Commits to Creighton; Scout Loves the Fit

August 10, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

Four-star Katrelle Harmon has committed to Creighton, and a national scout says it’s a great fit for the player and the program. On Saturday night, the 6-foot-3 Harmon picked the Bluejays over other finalists Alabama, Iowa, Oregon, Rutgers and Washington. Leading up to his decision, Creighton held numerous analyst projections in its favor for Harmon via 247Sports and Rivals.

Harmon is a talented combo guard within the 2026 class. Multiple recruiting services rank him in the top 75 nationally and in the top 10 at combo guard/shooting guard. Currently, his highest national ranking in the 2026 cycle comes via ESPN, which has Harmon at No. 53 overall.

A native of Seattle, Harmon suits up for the Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah, which is a member of the premier high school hoops conference, the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League Scholastic (“EYBL Scholastic”).

Adam Finkelstein, the director of scouting at 247Sports, says Harmon will be a great fit at Creighton and should have the opportunity to get ample playing time in his freshman campaign. Bluejays head coach Greg McDermott and head coach-in-waiting Alan Huss “have ranked among the top 10% of college basketball’s best offenses in five of the last six years and build their rotations with an emphasis on shooting, skill, and basketball acumen. Harmon not only fits that but his versatility, including the multiple ways he can score and the ability to play both on and off the ball, gives Creighton’s coaches real optionality with how to utilize him within their various sets,” Finkelstein writes.

Katrelle Harmon Eyes Big Senior Year

Harmon was a key cog as a junior in the 2024-25 campaign for Wasatch, which sported a 25-5 record. In the EYBL Scholastic regular season, the Tigers finished in a tie for first place. Wasatch also received a bid to the Chipotle Nationals, the annual season-ending tournament that crowns a high school national champion.

In 2024-25, Wasatch finished as a top-10 national team, per several media outlets. Ahead of 2025-26, the Tigers are No. 10 in a preseason top-25 from national analyst/scout Samad Hines. Expects anticipate Wasatch to contend for an EYBL Scholastic crown and another Chipotle Nationals berth in 2025-26.

This offseason, the Tigers have added excellent transfers to their roster. One is 2026 four-star small forward and top-50 national prospect Chidi Nwigwe. A second is 2026 four-star shooting guard and top-40 national prospect Jayden Johnson.

A Solid EYBL Season

This spring and summer on the AAU circuit, Harmon played fairly well for the 17U squad of the Las Vegas-based Vegas Elite in Nike’s EYBL league. During the EYBL regular season, he averaged 15.5 points, 3.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game. In late April, during the EYBL’s first spring session in Mesa, Ariz., Harmon was electric.

He averaged 24.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest in Mesa. The scouting experts at The Circuit named Harmon to their All-EYBL first team for the first spring session. In July, at the EYBL’s season-ending Peach Jam tournament in North Augusta, S.C., Vegas Elite went 2-3 but did not advance out of pool play. Harmon averaged 9.0 points, 3.0 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game at Peach Jam.

Creighton’s 2026 Class to Date

With Harmon on board, the Bluejays now have two 2026 verbal pledges. The second is from four-star small forward Jaidyn Coon of Storm Lake High School in Storm Lake, Iowa. Currently, Creighton’s 2026 cycle is No. 1 nationally, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. That being said, it’s still early, as most of the top prospects in this class have yet to make a commitment announcement.

Creighton, out of the Big East Conference, went 25-11 during the 2024-25 season. The Bluejays, as a No. 9 seed, reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament’s round of 32. There, Creighton fell to No. 1 seed and eventual Final Four participant Auburn.
