Angel Reese‘s second season, and maybe her time with the Chicago Sky, has come to an end. Her short career has already left fans and analysts wondering if she is on track to become one of the all-time greats. Her records strongly suggest she is, and the impact she’s had on and off the court reinforces that belief.
From setting rebounding milestones to energizing fan bases with her competitive fire, Reese has quickly become a defining figure in a league loaded with established stars.

Rounding Up The Records
In just two seasons, Reese has put together the most consecutive double-doubles in a single season and the most 10-rebound games in a season, while also setting the record for the most double-doubles by a rookie. She tied A’ja Wilson for the most 15-rebound games in one year and matched Tina Charles for the most 20-rebound games across a player’s first two seasons.
Additionally, she recorded the most 15-point, 15-rebound, 5-assist games in that same early stretch and now holds the record for the most rebounds and the most double-doubles through a player’s first two years.
Elite Company
Reese’s output ranks with some of the best names in history.
She owns the fifth-most 20-point, 15-rebound games in her first two seasons, trailing only Charles, Yolanda Griffith, Jonquel Jones, and Natalie Williams. Reese also has the second-most 15-point, 10-rebound, 3-assist, 3-steal performances in that same span, behind Lisa Leslie. She is even one of five players since 2000 to post 10 20-point double-doubles in her first two years, joining Wilson, Charles, Candace Parker, and Tamika Catchings.
Reese is also among four frontcourt players in the past 25 years to notch a 10-assist game in their first two seasons. The only other players to reach that feat are Catchings, Angel McCoughtry, and Bridget Carleton. She, Charles and Griffith are the only players to average a double-double in each of their first two seasons.

Continuing, Reese is the only player with multiple streaks of at least 10 consecutive double-doubles and back-to-back 20-rebound games. She’s the record holder for the longest run of consecutive 10-rebound games. She’s leading the WNBA with the highest career rebounding average and has set the two best single-season rebounding marks.
She already ranks third all-time in 20-rebound games. She sits fifth in career 15-point, 15-rebound, 5-assist games, behind Wilson, Leslie, Charles and Alyssa Thomas. Reese even ranks fifth among frontcourt players for career 3-assist, 3-steal games, trailing only Catchings, Breanna Stewart, Sheryl Swoopes, and Nicky Anosike
Dominant Rookie
Last season, Reese was breaking records as well. She became the first rookie to record a double-double in the WNBA All-Star Game. She also registered the second-most rebounds in a single game by a rookie in league history.
On the whole, she joined Catchings as one of only two rookies to post back-to-back games with at least 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals. She also became one of just four rookies with a 15-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist outing, alongside Catchings, Parker, and Aneesah Morrow. She matched Wilson as one of the only rookies to produce a 20-point, 15-rebound, 7-assist stat line.
By her second year, Reese became the fastest to reach 500 points and 500 rebounds.
Making Her Case As A Future Legend
Reese’s rebounding dominance stands out. It’s particularly impressive that owns the highest career rebounding average and two best single-season rebounding averages in league history. With that being said, her franchise records and accolades only continue to grow. Already, her early achievements place her alongside the WNBA’s biggest names.
The verdict is in. Reese is already making a convincing case as an all-time great.
