The Knights dropped the first game of this series, but they rallied to win four out of six at Toledo (41-40).
At long last, Colson Montgomery has had a monster week to take his first weekly honor of the season. Montgomery went 11-for-22 with four homers, a triple, two doubles, and eight driven in. This incredible performance resulted in an otherworldly 1.749 OPS. Montgomery got of to a very slow start, slashing only .160/.227/.247 in April. As a result, in terms of his overall numbers, Montgomery has been fighting an uphill battle since the beginning. However, Montgomery has really turned the tide, and he is up to .267/.328/.583 in June and .217/.294/.425 overall. Suddenly, Montgomery is starting to turn heads for the right reasons, and it will be interesting to see how long he can keep this up.

The Barons opened the second half by splitting their series at Knoxville (35-39).
Starting pitcher Tanner McDougal, 22, made two starts this week, and he was effective in both of them. In 10 innings, McDougal only allowed one run on eight hits, and he racked up 13 strikeouts. The only run McDougal allowed was on a solo homer by Pedro Ramírez, and McDougal was terrific outside of that. McDougal is still new to the Double-A level, as he has only made three starts there since being promoted on June 18. However, three runs and 23 strikeouts in 15 1⁄3 innings (1.76 ERA, 13.5 K/9) will certainly fly.

The Dash had been staying afloat, entering this week with five consecutive weeks where they went .500 or better. However, the offense struggled immensely this week, only scoring eight runs in six games. so the Dash only got one victory against Greensboro (52-22).
Shortstop Wilber Sánchez, 23, was a diamond in the rough for the Dash, making a positive impact with his bat and his glove. Sánchez went 4-for-11 with a homer, a double, four driven in, and two walks. It has not exactly been a season to remember for Sánchez, who is slashing .214/.283/.291. However, he certainly had a productive week, leading the way by a mile for an offense that could not get anything going.

The Cannon Ballers broke an 11-game losing streak on Wednesday, and they ultimately split their series against Fredericksburg (35-39).
Outfielder T.J. McCants, 24, gave the offense a big spark, finishing 7-for-19 with a homer, a double, and four walks. McCants has been an on-base machine for Kannapolis, slashing .300/.447/.383 in 17 games for them. The White Sox selected McCants in the 16th round in 2024, and so far, he has exceeded expectations.
Starter Luis Reyes had another excellent start to build on last week’s performance. This time, he pitched six shutout innings, striking out six along the way. It has been a fantastic month for Reyes, who has only allowed one run in 25 innings (0.36 ERA).

The good times continue to roll for the ACL White Sox, who won four out of six to improve to 24-18.
Adrian Gil, 19, who has spent a substantial amount of time at first base and catcher, had a big week to take his second weekly award. Gil went 8-for-18 with a homer, a triple, two doubles, nine driven in, and five stolen bases in six attempts. No matter how you slice this performance, Gil was a major catalyst for the ACL White Sox offense.

The DSL White Sox got back on track, winning three of five to get back within one game of .500.
Outfielder Christian Gonzalez, 18, could not be stopped, as he was on fire all week for the DSL White Sox. Gonzalez finished 9-for-16 with two triples, two doubles, and a walk, resulting in a 1.570 OPS. Gonzalez has some defensive flexibility, as most of his playing time has been in right this year, but he predominantly played center in 2024. Through 16 games this year, Gonzalez is slashing .462/.569/.673, which is completely ridiculous. Well done to him on an enormous week.
