The Knights have crossed back into a winning record for the first time since April. Charlotte has been consistently at or just worse than .500 for months, but after this series they have a winning record once again.
Andre Lipcius, 27, who mainly plays first and second base, was crushing the ball this week. Although his OBP was only a bit above average, Lipcius launched three homers, and he added a double en route to a .680 SLG and 1.002 OPS. For the season, Lipcius is slashing .256/.329/.523, and he is up to 14 homers after this excellent week against Memphis (47-44). This is Lipcius’ second weekly award, and overall he has been quite valuable for the Knights across his 57 games (all with Charlotte).

The Barons had a terrific week, sweeping Biloxi (49-38), who has the best run differential in the entire Southern League.
It seems that starting pitcher Tanner McDougal, 22, has turned down the difficulty level to Rookie in MLB The Show. McDougal is on an absolute tear: In his last three starts, the righty has pitched 17 innings without allowing any runs. Even before this scoreless inning streak, he was pitching quite well. In 85 innings this season, McDougal has a 2.54 ERA and a 3.14 FIP, and he has been even better since his promotion to Birmingham. In 27 1⁄3 innings at the higher level, McDougal has a 0.99 ERA and a 2.12 FIP. Given how low McDougal’s stock was entering this season, his bounce-back is one of the finer stories in the organization. Another promotion cannot come soon enough.

After the Dash took a 2-1 lead on Sunday, the final game got suspended, so the Dash finished with a 3-2 week against Greenville (42-43).
Righthander Nick Altermatt, 25, could have hardly pitched any better during his two relief appearances. Altermatt allowed zero runs on zero hits in five innings, and he only issued one walk while striking out five. This season, Altermatt has a 2.70 ERA and 2.25 FIP as one of Winston-Salem’s more reliable relievers. This week was even better than usual for Altermatt, who could not be solved by the Drive.
The offense also had plenty of strong performances by the position players. The Dash scored 15 on Saturday, and 35 in the five completed games. Wilber Sánchez (5-for-11, 2B, 2 BB) and Alec Makarewicz (7-for-21, HR, 3B, 2 BB) led the way for the offense.

The Cannon Ballers won a close game on Sunday to split their series against the Pelicans (39-45).
Outfielder Abraham Núñez, 19, could not have been much better in his four games. Núñez went 6-for-10 with a triple and two walks, as pitchers were unable to find effective ways to get him out. Núñez is slashing .203/.274/.277 overall, so it has not been a season to remember for the young outfielder. However, this week was certainly a step in the right direction.

The ACL White Sox got back on track by taking four of their six games this week.
Center fielder Christian Gonzalez, 18, was an integral part of the ACL White Sox’s strong week. He might have won the award this week simply for being an ultra-rare (perhaps unprecedented) call-up from the Dominican Republic to Arizona; that is simply not a promotion that is ever made in-season.
In his first week with his new team, Gonzalez went 9-for-18 with a homer and a double to finish the week with a 1.222 OPS. Incredibly, that weekly OPS is barely higher than his overall 2025 season OPS (1.184 in 83 at-bats), as Gonzalez made a big splash immediately. Although home runs are not a major part of his game, Gonzalez’s OPS is sky-high because he just keeps finding ways to get on base.

The DSL White Sox bats could hardly be stopped this week, and they won all four of their games.
The competition was intense for this weekly award, as there were plenty of excellent individual performances to go around. However, infielder Alejando Cruz, 18, shined the brightest. Cruz, who plays second base and third base, was an on-base machine, going 4-for-9 with four walks, a homer and a double. Cruz, played in all four games, and he performed about as well as he could have, ending the week with a 1.556 OPS.
