White Sox Farm Report: June 28-29, 2025

July 1, 2025 by Sox On 35th

The post White Sox Farm Report: June 28-29, 2025 appeared first on Sox On 35th.

The organization’s stars shone bright this weekend. Colson Montgomery tallied four extra-base hits, Hagen Smith returned to the mound, and Tanner McDougal picked up his first win in four seasons with an eight-strikeout performance.

All this and more in this weekend’s minor league recap!

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (40-41)

Colson Montgomery continued his torrid stretch with a 5-for-9 weekend. The shortstop doubled and tripled in Saturday’s victory, and slugged a pair of homers in Sunday’s loss.

Montgomery was far from the only standout Saturday. The Knights won 9-0 behind home runs from Andre Lipcius and Tristan Gray. Yoendrys Gómez fired five scoreless innings, striking out nine while allowing just a single hit.

The offense was much quieter Sunday, with Montgomery’s two homers representing a majority of the scoring. Starter Evan McKendry recorded an immaculate inning — nine pitches, all strikes — in the fifth.
