Friday was an action-packed day down on the farm. The Knights, Barons, and Dash all delivered comeback victories.

Tim Elko logged three extra-base hits for Charlotte, Shane Murphy fired five scoreless innings for the Barons, and Colson Montgomery and Braden Montgomery each doubled in multi-hit performances.

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (39-40)

Noah Schultz was roughed up in his second AAA start, conceding five runs over two innings of work. The southpaw surrendered five hits and walked four while striking out four. The bullpen combined for seven scoreless innings following Schultz to secure the 7-5 victory.

On offense, Tim Elko slugged his 14th homer of the season along with a pair of doubles. Additionally, Colson Montgomery and Joshua Palacios each doubled.

Double-A Birmingham Barons (40-33)

With a 4-0 lead entering the bottom of the eighth, the Barons appeared to have the game put away. Shane Murphy was in line for his seventh win of the season after going five shutout innings. The Knoxville Smokies had other plans, plating five in the eighth to take the lead.

Trailing in the ninth, Birmingham fought back with some small ball. The team opened the inning with back-to-back singles, then tied the game on a fielder’s choice and took the lead on a sac fly. Dalton Roach fired a 1-2-3 inning to seal win number 40.

William Bergolla and Jacob Gonzalez each had three hits, with Gonzalez recording three RBI.

High-A Winston Salem Dash (28-44)

The Dash split their doubleheader against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. In game one, a Wilber Sánchez three-run homer was all the offense the team needed.

Winston-Salem only reached base five times in game two, falling in shutout fashion.

Single-A Kannapolis Cannon Ballers (34-39)

Kannapolis jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but failed to hold on against the Fredericksburg Nationals. Ricardo Brizuela struck out six across his four innings of work, and Ryan Burrowes notched his 23rd and 24th stolen bases of the season.
