Offenses put on a show across the upper minors on Wednesday. Every Charlotte and Birmingham starter recorded a hit, including, for the first time at their new levels, Jacob Gonzalez and Braden Montgomery.
The Barons logged fifteen hits in a Tanner McDougal-led shutout, Bryan Ramos and Tim Elko each homered for Charlotte, and Justin Sinibaldi continued his hot streak with another strong outing.

Triple-A Charlotte Knights (49-54)
Jacob Gonzalez notched his first AAA hit, a double, in the Knights’ 13-8 loss to the Rochester Red Wings. Charlotte fell into a 3-0 hole in the first, and trailed the entire way. Bryan Ramos and Tim Elko each went deep in the loss.

Double-A Birmingham Barons (59-39)
The Barons stayed blazing-hot with another win. They’ve now won four straight, and 16 of their last 17. Braden Montgomery recorded his first AA hit and steal amid a 2-for-4 night, while Rikuu Nishida, William Bergolla, Sam Antonacci, and DJ Gladney also enjoyed multi-hit nights. Tanner McDougal turned in another masterful start, firing three innings of one-hit ball. Tyler Schweitzer, Tyler Davis, and Eric Adler followed to complete the shutout.

High-A Winston-Salem Dash (37-59)
Drake Logan launched a three-run homer to give the Dash an early lead, but they were unable to hang on against the Greenville Drive. Logan and Ryan Burrowes combined for five of the Dash’s eight hits in the loss. Jonathan Clark struck out six over two scoreless innings and is now unscored upon over his first four appearances in A+ ball.

Justin Sinibaldi dazzled once again, but Kannapolis only scratched out four hits behind him in a 4-2, extra-inning loss. Caleb Bonemer was responsible for two of the Ballers’ base knocks, running his hit streak to six games
