*2022 was the fourth consecutive season he had a winning record
*2022 marked the first time in his six seasons with the Sox that he allowed more hits than innings pitched and his WHIP of 1.435 was highest since becoming a full-time starter in 2019
*2022 marked the fourth straight season he had more strikeouts than innings though his average of 9.9 Ks per nine innings was his lowest since becoming a full-time starter in 2019
*2022 was the first season since he became a regular starter for the Sox that he did not receive votes in the American League Cy Young balloting

*Giolito is the Sox career leader (min. 800 innings) among righties with an average of 9.6 strikeouts per nine innings (second overall to Chris Sale’s 10.1)
*Giolito has struck out more Minnesota Twins (110) than any right-hander in Sox history
*Giolito made his third consecutive Opening Day start which is the longest streak by a Sox righty since Jack McDowell’s run of four from 1991 to 1994
