The White Sox have scored one run per game over their four-game losing streak. Perhaps relatedly, clubhouse opened to media over an hour later than usual (not by surprise, it was preannounced), which usually aligns with a later mandatory arrival time for players.
“We have to do that and make sure that we’re mindful pregame and how we go about it,” Will Venable said. “Certainly there’s still a lot of work we do pregame to be prepared, it just doesn’t show up on the field as much. But yeah, these guys are running on fumes, and at this point of the year your pregame schedule is really tailored to helping them be ready for the game and just conserve energy levels a little bit.”
