Cermak is closed between Ashland Avenue and Paulina Street.
Park of Cermak Road was closed Friday in Pilsen after a truck spilled debris on the Southwest Side.
Cermak was closed between Ashland Avenue and Paulina Street about 7 a.m. after a truck carrying wood and metal overturned its contents onto the street, Chicago police said.
The road was closed as crews worked to clear the debris, police said. There were no injuries in the crash.
It’s unclear what caused the truck to overturn, police said.
The eastbound CTA No. 21 Cermak bus was rerouted due to the street blockage, according to the Chicago Transit Authority. Westbound buses were not affected.
The crash happened next to preparations for Fiesta Del Sol, which is scheduled to take place this weekend on Cermak between Ashland and Morgan Street.
