Our first discussion event will focus on the positives of the 2025 White Sox at the halfway mark of the season — and no, that will not mean only a five-minute program
So, you regular game thread participants have no doubt noticed our efforts at Playback. This off-day we are conducting a little experiment, with some programming that doesn’t center on baseball game viewing. It’ll be a sort of live podcast event, dedicated to accentuating the positives of this 2025 season, both compared to 2024 and looking ahead to 2026.
The team itself is hardly better in the standings, just a five-game improvement that would double to 10 if the pace is kept in the second half. But still, “vibes” aside, there is cause for optimism. Hey, don’t cut my head off, there was almost zero optimism a year ago (beyond Garrett Crochet, and that optimism was immediately cut by trade talks and hurt feelings in the front office), so the good vibes bar is as close to zero as possible.
