Last night the White Sox had fun. Can they… sweep the Rays today?
Last night we saw some much needed excitement from this team, and with the stands full the crowd got to enjoy it. It was the teams first win of the series, and their first time winning back-to-back games this season. They have had an offensive outburst, scoring 17 runs in their last two games. Can they quite possibly sweep the Tampa Bay Rays today?
I can’t tell you the last time I covered a win. It hasn’t been this season I’ll tell you that. So here’s to hoping the team can get it done today and start a win streak, and I can be excited in the postgame story.

To kill some of that excitement, Brad Keller is now on our baseball team. Jonathan Cannon was optioned to AAA Charlotte, and Prelander Berroa will make his White Sox debut. Deivi García is designated for assignment. He had some nasty stuff, but just allowed too many runs and baserunners.
Erick Fedde will be on the mound, coming off of his outstanding outing against the Minnesota Twins. Unfortunately the team couldn’t get the win for him, but he went six innings with three hits, one run, and 11 strikeouts. On the season so far, he has a 2.73 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 26 1⁄3 innings pitched. I feel confident when he’s on the mound that it will be a good game, and with a Rays lineup that is struggling early on, who knows.
Zack Littell will be on the mound for the Rays who has a 3.33 ERA this season with 29 strikeouts in 27 innings, and a 1.37 WHIP. His last game against the Detroit Tigers was an interesting stat-line, going six innings with nine hits, five runs, and seven strikeouts. It’s not good, but it’s not bad I guess. The righty vet is in his second year with the Rays after being picked up by the team last season.

How about that, not a Sunday Scaries lineup.
