Let’s hope Houston has a problem tonight
The White Sox look to take the series in tonight’s finale against the Astros. After an embarrassing 10-2 blowout on Wednesday, Chicago looks to Davis Martin (2-6 with a 3.62 ERA) to hold it steady — and have created a less-than-ideal lineup to assist him.
Mike Tauchman gets the night off, along with rookie Kyle Teel. The lineup seems, to put it nicely, poorly constructed. Luis Robert Jr. has moved up slightly, and the likes of Vinny Capra, Michael A. Taylor and Austin Slater are getting more playing time. It’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see if it works out.

Astros ace Framber Valdez (6-4) will get the start. Valdez owns a respectable 3.07 ERA with 84 strikeouts this season, so don’t expect much give from him.
For the series.
