The South Siders are back home after a rough road trip
The White Sox are back home after a terrible East Coast road trip, losing five of six. If you’re expecting a win in this series, I’ve got bad news for you: The Tigers are in town and sitting pretty at the top of the league. And not just the American League Central, the WHOLE league.
Jonathan Cannon will be on the mound today. His last appearance started off rough, getting knocked around early, at one point in the first inning surrendering five hits in six pitches to the Mets. Edgar Quero, who has also had a tough time lately, sits, with Korey Lee resuming his role as starting catcher.

Detroit Center fielder Parker Meadows makes his season debut after being diagnosed with a musculocutaneous nerve injury in his upper right arm during spring training. He missed 100 games in total from spring until now. Jack Flaherty (3-6) will be on the mound tonight. He touts a 3.94 ERA, but has racked up 72 strikeouts so far this season.

First pitch is 6:40 p.m. CT. You can watch the game on CHSN and listen on ESPN Chicago 1000. Or, you can listen to the Tigers’ broadcast if you miss Jason Benetti. Your secret is safe with me!
