It’s finally Tim Elko Day!
If you haven’t heard, or bypassed the cover photo, Tim Elko makes his major league debut tonight for the White Sox. Perhaps it was an act of God, because the new Holy man, Pope Leo XIV, was impatiently waiting to see the young slugger. Does the Vatican have CHSN? Who knows.
The White Sox are fresh off of a win, making me believe the City Connects are good luck. It helps that the Marlins are also not great, but that isn’t as salacious.
Now, back to Elko.

Shane Smith gets the start this evening. Smith is sitting on a fabulous 2.41 ERA. Josh Rojas and Edgar Quero, who have been hot lately, will be in the starting lineup. Then Andrew Vaughn, well, he’s in the DH spot again. And sure, batting third, why not.
Saturday’s starters.

The Fish are putting Edward Cabrera on the mound. Cabrera is touting a lofty 6.29 ERA, so maybe there is a chance for the White Sox to take advantage.
