Monday night will be quiet, as we shift to our new platform
As you know by now, South Side Sox is moving to a new platform. There have been posts already about how you will need to log in a different way, how these posts will be archived and how things will look a bit different.
Those changes will happen beginning today at 4 p.m. CT and continue through 8 a.m. CT on Tuesday. Posts that would normally publish during that window will be delayed to Tuesday when the migration is complete. I’m writing this as a sort of “heads up” to all those that are in South Side Sox community.
The good news for us is that, honestly, there are no posts you’ll be missing out on. The White Sox have an off-day on Monday, and in addition the minors are off on Monday, so there are no recaps to write. And even if the migration process drags on a little longer than anticipated, you should have Today in White Sox History posting close to its usual time on Tuesday, and with a West Coast game on Tuesday night, your game threads and recap will be unaffected by the migration.
Starting on Tuesday, if you wish to comment on pieces, you will have to follow the new log-in process.
We ask for a bit of grace and patience as this whole process takes place. We’re new to this as well and hope to continue giving the same great analysis, news and recaps that you’ve come to expect.
Thanks, and see you on the other side!
