*On June 14, Alexander became the first White Sox pitcher to bat in an American League game since Floyd Bannister grounded out to end the 24th inning on May 9, 1984 vs. the Brewers at Comiskey Park.
Also in that June 14 game in Texas, Alexander was the first Sox pitcher to bat in an AL contest on the road since Moe Drabowsky grounded out to end the 13th in Oakland on Sept. 19, 1972
