My alphabetical-ish review of the White Sox 2025 roster continues with a look at NICK MATON:
*Maton joins Danny Mendick, Oscar Gamble and Billy Hamilton as White Sox players to wear No. 0. Jacob Amaya wore 0 in 2025 after the Sox cut Maton.
*Maton’s game-starting home run on March 30, 2025 was the second by a White Sox designated hitter and the first since Tim Raines victimized the Angels Mark Langston on June 17, 1995 in Anaheim
*Both of Maton’s 2025 homers came as a DH leading off. He joins Ralph Garr, Pat Kelly, Raines and Bob Molinaro are the only players in Sox history with more than one homer in this role.
