My alphabetical-ish review of the White Sox 2025 roster continues with a look at KOREY LEE:
*In his first mound appearance since 2018 in the summer collegiate Northwoods League, Lee posted a 3.00 ERA in two outings covering three innings for the 2025 Sox.
*On Aug. 27, 2025, Lee became the third player in White Sox history to catch and pitch in the same game and the first to do it since 1902.
Frank Isbell and Sam Mertes were the first Sox to execute this rarity in the second game of a doubleheader on Sept. 28, 1902.
*Lee, Yermin Mercedes (2021), Rob Brantly (2017), Wayne Nordhagen (1979), Frank (1906, 1902) and Mertes (1902) are the only Sox to pitch and catch in the same season.
*Lee (2025), Nordhagen (1979), Mertes (1902) and Isbell (1906) are the only Sox players to catch and play left in the same season
