My alphabetical-ish review of the White Sox 2025 roster continues with a look at JORDAN LEASURE:
*Leasure led the 2025 Sox with 7 saves, 80 relief strikeouts, five relief wins and 11.3 strikeouts per 9 innings (min. 37 IP)
*Leasure’s seven saves were the lowest total to lead the Sox since the stat became official in 1969.
*Leasure’s average of 11.2 strikeouts per nine innings in August was the highest in Sox history among pitchers with at least 11.2 innings in the month.
*Leasure held opponents to a .111 average in Sept./Oct. of 2025, which was the third-lowest in team history and lowest by a Sox pitcher since Barry Jones’ .098 in 1988 (min. 13.2 innings).
*On Aug. 1 in Anaheim, Leasure threw 17 of his 21 pitches for strikes while striking out five of the six batters he faced. He became the 16th Sox pitcher (17th time) with five strikeouts in a six-batter outing. Leasure was the first Sox hurler to accomplish this since Aaron Bummer on Sept. 12, 2023 vs. Kansas City and the first righty to do it since Liam Hendriks on Aug. 6, 2021 at Wrigley Field.
