My alphabetical-ish review of the White Sox 2025 roster continues with a look at DEREK HILL:
*Outfielder hit .286 (2-for-7) in four games for the 2025 Sox. He’s on the Sox 40-man roster right now.
*Hill’s dad, Orsino, played for the Sox Vancouver (AAA) affiliate in 1990 and 1991. He coached for the Sox Arizona (Rookie) affiliate in 1999 and for the Sox Burlington (A) affiliate in 2000. Mark Buehrle played in Burlington that season
*Hill attended the same high school — Elk Grove (CA) — as Rowdy Tellez, Nick Madrigal, Scott Boras, Bill Cartwright, Lance Briggs and Buck Martinez
