January 26, 2022 by The Sports Fan Journal

It’s Conference Championship time! On Sunday, both the AFC & NFC Championship games will have all football fans glued to their TVs across the country, as well as across the world. The question remains – who will be crowned Super Bowl Champions on February 13? We take a look at the final four franchises remaining, including their chances & odds of lifting the Lombardi trophy!

Check out the latest Super Bowl betting odds with FanDuel Sportsbook NY today!

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have continued to impress in their postseason performances, and their latest two games are no different. After missing out on the No.1 seed in the AFC, the Chiefs set up a Super Wild Card showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers. With a dominant 42-21 victory, Kansas City set up a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship game, with a divisional round battle with the Buffalo Bills. In what was arguably the best game of football many have seen in a long time Side Note: If you have somehow missed the game – please go watch it. What. A. Game. Now, the Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals in what is seemingly a favorable matchup for the home team.

Cincinnati Bengals

After being crowned AFC North champions – the franchise’s first division title in six years – the Bengals hosted the Las Vegas Raiders in the first playoff game of the season. With a 26-19 win, the Bengals progressed, with a matchup against the No.1 seed Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium. In an interesting clash, the Titans were stunned by the Bengals, who secured the 19-16 victory on the road with their 52-yard walk-off field goal. Despite Joe Burrow being sacked nine times in the divisional round, the resilience of the QB caused an upset win. Cincinnati haven’t seen the AFC Championship in 33 years – a league record – but now they face the Chiefs.

Los Angeles Rams

On the NFC side of the playoff bracket, we first have a look at the Los Angeles Rams, who have now secured home-field advantage for the NFC Championship game. If they win, they will also have a home field, with Super Bowl LVI being held at SoFi Stadium. After defeating NFC West rivals, the Arizona Cardinals, in the wild card round, the Rams were rewarded with a trip to Florida, to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams frustrated the defending Super Bowl champions, and despite a late comeback, the LA Rams managed to move the ball downfield to within field goal range with four seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The third game-winning field goal of the divisional round was complete, and now the Rams await another division rival.

San Francisco 49ers

If someone said that the San Francisco 49ers would make the NFC Championship game at the start of the postseason, the majority of people would have dismissed the argument. Many had written off the 49ers making it this far. However, the No.6 seed of the NFC made the trip to Dallas to face the Cowboys in the Super Wild Card round. After a surprising win, San Francisco were then given the tough task of heading to Lambeau Field. The Green Bay Packers struggled against a tough 49ers defense, and while the offense didn’t score that many points, it was enough to secure an upset win against the No.1 seed.
