What a feeding frenzy.
Weeks and weeks of speculation, rumor-mongering, and hug watching, the trade deadline has come and gone. Many moves were made, though none felt like earth-shattering blockbusters. Teams solidified themselves as wanting to contend (we see you Padres) while others seemed to be admitting defeat (sorry about your season, Twins). It’s certainly interesting to see how things will work for buying clubs as the dust settles.
Now, the big mile marker to keep our eyes on is the postseason, and to determine how these trade deadline moves will shape the final months of the season. How is it possible we’re already talking about the final months of the season? Couldn’t be!
