Next year’s tournament is just months away.

The World Baseball Classic features players from MLB, NPB in Japan, KBO in Korea and other leagues around the world, playing for their home countries. It’s produced some great baseball and memorable moments like Shohei Ohtani striking out Mike Trout to win the 2023 WBC for Japan:

The next WBC will be held in March 2026. Last week, MLB announced the dates, locations and pools for the WBC. Here are the first round dates and times:

The quarterfinals will be in Houston and Miami:

And the championship round will be at the home of the Marlins, loanDepot Park:

If you are interested in attending, here’s info and the link to buy tickets for the games in San Juan and here’s the link for all the other venues. Single-game tickets for San Juan go on sale Dec. 1, and for the other venues Jan. 15, 2026.

We will have extensive coverage of the WBC next spring. I look forward to more exciting baseball as players represent their countries. Pete Crow-Armstrong, for one, is expected to play for the USA.
